Fortnite 5-30-2020

The season is about over & I have been busy playing GTA. I stopped going for the golden banana just out of boredom. If I had bought the first 100 levels I’d have it but there just isn’t enough EXP to get there w/o buying the levels, even if you do your punch card everyday. I may skip next season, but I’ll eventually do a post with some screenshots. I also stopped taking screenshots but I am still making videos. Thanks for watching!

Fortnite 5-22-2020

The other day I played a game as BATMAN & won so I called it good. Today I played one game as Toxic Kevin & won & again I’m thinking that’s enough for today. I was doing challenges last night & completed a lot of challenges but only won maybe one game? I also played GTA V today & of course EverQuest. I installed Red Dead Redemption 2 along with Destiny 2 last week. I actually have the Destiny PS4 console & played the game when it came out. I also played Red Dead Redemption 2 on Xbox last year for a few months so I’m pretty familiar with the game. Speaking of Rockstar, I also enjoyed L.A. Noire & have been meaning to play the HD version all the way through.

Fortnite 5-17-2020

I ended up playing & winning five games in a row.
First we won a couple of Duos, Dillon & I.
Then we won a Squad & then an Operation Knockout.
After that we finished the run with another squad win. Haha, I still need to activate this copy of windows but I caught the other two screenshots with the Windows game bar or whatever it is. Normally I disable it but with the upgrade I can let a few more programs run.
Here is a video from yesterday.

Fortnite & My New CPU 5-16-2020

So now that my CPU is powerful enough to push my GPU I might actually turn up the settings a bit. I don’t like running my GPU at 90%+ so I found some settings that run the CPU & GPU both around 60% to 70% in most instances leaving me some headroom in larger battles. I’ve also begun testing with higher than 120 FPS again just to see how that goes. Future plans include getting another 1080 turbo, since my new i7-9700k can easily handle two, & to get another 32GB of ram, as well as another m.2 drive. At that point I might invest in a new 4th display.

So this was a great match where I was eliminated early on along with the rest of the squad but Dillon was able to grab my reboot card, escape, reboot me, & then we duo’d it up for the win!

Dillon saves the match.

With the upgrades to my PC complete I started to look at my storage situation & began utilizing some of my cloud space to free up local disk space, at which point I may also replace my data drive which has had a long service life. It shows no signs of slowing down, overheating, or failing, but time & friction is the enemy with these older SATA drives.
